On 18 February 2025, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with The Honorable Robert F. Godec, Ambassador of the United States to Thailand.

Both sides discussed the policy direction of the new U.S. Administration, as well as advancing Thailand – U.S. long-standing alliance and strategic partnership of shared priorities. They also discussed and agreed on enhancing high-level engagements and fostering the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries, including in the area of defense and security, strengthening economic, trade and investment ties, as well as cooperation on law enforcement and combating transnational crimes, including at the regional level.
