On 18 June 2022, Ambassador Kanchana Patarachoke, together with the Royal Thai Embassy’s officials and staff, attended the Thai Festival 2022, organised by ‘Vithi Thai’ Group and Barnkulturcentrum Nyköping in Nyköping. Activities included Thai costume parade, traditional Thai dances, papaya salad (Somtam) competition by Swedish friends of Thailand, Krathong making and fruit/vegetable carving, umbrella and face painting, and Thai costume fashion show. The event was well attended by the Thai communities and their Swedish families and friends, including local people in Nyköping, Oxelösund and other nearby cities.

 

The Embassy appreciates the efforts and dedication by Thai communities in Sweden in promoting Thai culture and arts in Sweden. It is also a reflection of their active involvement in their respective local communities and the strength of the Thai communities all across Sweden.
