Ambassador Tanee attends the MOU Signing Ceremony for promotion of Nuad Thai Volunteer Activities and Cultural Exchange with Gapyeong

On 13 December 2024, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK was invited by Mr. Teawon Seo, Mayor of Gapyeong in Gyeonggi Province to attend the signing ceremony of MOU between Gapyeong HyoJeong Volunteers, Nuad Thai Group and Gapyeong Volunteer Center for the enhancement of Nuad Thai volunteer activities with Gapyeong cultural exchange which was organized on Gapyeong Cruise.

The MOU was signed by Ms. Chuensri Patcharin, President of Nuad Thai Group, Mr. Jeon You-San and Mr. Kim Kyung-tae, co-representative of the Gapyeong Hyojeong Volunteers and Mr. Lim Dae-won, Director of the Gapyeong Volunteer Center with objectives to operate Nuad Thai volunteer projects with Gapyeong cultural exchange, organize of Thai cultural events and lay foundation for establishing Nuad Thai Association in the ROK.

Ambassador Tanee delivered remarks expressing appreciation for the Nuad Thai Group on preserving Nuad Thai, a traditional Thai massage, which was inscribed by UNESCO in 2019 on the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity by operating Nuad Thai Volunteer Projects at Gapyeong County. Ambassador Tanee also attended Nuad Thai demonstration for Korean elderly persons at Elderly Care in Gapyeong Country which was the 1st official Nuad Thai volunteer activity of Nuad Thai Group in the ROK.
