On 22 February 2023, H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK gave a lecture on Thailand’s economic situation to CEOs of Korean import companies under the CEO Trade School, at the invitation of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA). Ambassador presented an overview of Thailand’s current economic situation, major strengths and attractiveness of Thailand as well as key economic policies of the Thai government, and the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul’s economic cooperation activities. During the Q&A session participants enquired and exchanged views with the Ambassador on issues such as the possibility of using Thailand as a base to expand trade to neighboring countries, FTAs in the ASEAN and East Asian regions, and investment incentives in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
