On 19 January 2023, Mr. Jeong Jun-yeon, Team Leader of Rail Solutions, Hyundai Rotem, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to the ROK, to convey the company’s interest in being the main supplier of rolling stock and maintenance systems for Thailand’s High-Speed Rail Linking 3 Airports Project, as well as the MRT Orange Line. Ambassador expressed readiness to support Hyundai Rotem’s investment in Thailand and the possible visit of executives from relevant Thai companies to experience the ROK’s rail technologies first-hand as proposed by Hyundai Rotem. On this occasion, Mr. Kritawit Madhyamankura, Investment Attaché and Director of the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI), Seoul Office, also attended the discussion and updated Hyundai Rotem of the incentives offered by BOI in the rail industry.
