On 6 December 2022, H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway, along with Ms. Potchamas Saengthien, Counsellor, Ms. Bheraya Homkosol, Counsellor, Ms. Chidchanok Anawatmongkon, Second Secretary, and Embassy’s officials participated in the Diplomatic Charity Event (DCE) 2022, held at Oslo Red Cross. DCE is an annual charity event organized by the Female Ambassadors Oslo (FAO), International Forum, and Diplomatic Spouses Association in Norway. DCE 2022 was the first event held after the COVID-19 situation and the previous DCE was held in 2019. The main objective of this year’s event was to raise funds for “Ambulance to save lives” project in Ukraine. In this year’s event, Mr. Masud Gharahkhan, President of the Storting was the Keynote Speaker, Mrs. Tone Elisabeth Bækkevold Allers, Chief of Protocol and Director General, Department for Cultural Relations and Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, gave her remarks, and Mrs. Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine sent a message to the participants.

 

This year, the Embassy showcased Thai food and herbal beverages on Thailand’s national table, which was decorated with fruits and vegetables carving, Bamboo wicker products, and painted paper umbrellas from the Northern part of Thailand. There were also national tables from other ASEAN countries namely, the Philippines and Indonesia. Besides national tables from more than 40 countries, participants to this year’s event can also enjoyed traditional performances, the silence auction, and the raffle draw.
