On 24 May 2022, Mrs. Shantana Srivipa Berg, a newly appointed President of Thai Women‘s Association in Norway (Den Thailandske kvinneforening) and Mrs. Laddawal Sripirom, Legal Advisor Group of the Association, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Vimolbajra Ruksakiati, Ambassador of Thailand to Norway. Counsellor Potchamas Saengthien and Counsellor Bheraya Homkosol also joined the meeting.

On this occasion, both sides exchanged views and discussed aspects to further enhance cooperation between the Embassy and the Association, especially in providing of knowledge and information on Norwegian Family Law for the Thai Community in Norway.

Last year on 20 November, the Embassy supported the Legal training course on Family Law, organized by the Legal Counseling for Women (JURK) for foreign community in Norway. More than 20 representatives from Thai Associations and clubs from different cities in Norway participated in this event.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo will continue to attach importance to the promoting of knowledge and information about Norwegian Law especially Family Law which is useful to support the well-being and empowerment of Thai community in Norway.
