On May 22, 2024, Consul General Somjai Taphaopong joined the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York in paying a courtesy call on Mr. Phil Murphy, Governor of New Jersey, at the State House to discuss the state’s economic policy and its engagement with international community. During this one-day visit, Consuls General also met with executives of Rutgers University who provided a briefing on their human resource development in innovation and technology, and executives of New Jersey Economic Development Authority and Choose New Jersey on the investment opportunities in New Jersey.
