On May 18, 2024, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit hosted the ceremony to commemorate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn's Birthday on July 28, 2024, at Minnesota Songkran Festival 2024.

Later, during the opening ceremony, Ms. Korawan Muangmode, president of the Thai Cultural Council of Minnesota, delivered the opening remarks, followed by congratulatory messages from Thai dignitaries, including Consul-General, Mr. Kowit Phakamart, Director-General of the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, Ms. Chompu Marusachot, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) New York Office, and Mr. Chumpol Jangprai, a Chairman of the Food Industry Steering Committee under the National Soft Power Committee.

From the State of Minnesota, Senator Amy Klobuchar and Senator Tina Smith delivered congratulatory remarks, followed by Dr. Macarre Traynham, Assistant Commissioner of the Office of Equity and Engagement, Department of Education. Subsequently, all guests of honor participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially commence the Minnesota Songkran Festival 2024.
