Thailand strengthens ties with Ethiopia

On 20 March 2023 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, H.E. Miss Sasirit Tangulrat, Ambassador, together with Mr. Tsegaye Abebe Adugna, Honorary Consul of Thailand for Ethiopia, and Mr. Wisit Bunyaritthipong, Counsellor, met with Ambassador Gebeyehu Ganga, Director General Middle East, Asia and Pacific Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, to discuss ways to enhance relations and cooperation between the two countries, as well as the protection of Thais in Ethiopia and Ethiopians in Thailand. The Ambassador also visited Abrehot National Library, to donate books about Thailand to this biggest public library in Ethiopia, with a view to opening more doors for the Ethiopians to know more about Thailand.
Furthermore, the delegation above also met with Thai community in Ethiopia and gave an introductory information about the general election which will also be held overseas and visited Thai inmates in Kalite Prison. In this occasion, the Embassy provided basic medicines and necessities and ensured the Embassy's role to protect all Thai nationals in Ethiopia.
