On 18 August 2022, H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichakij, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, jointly presided over the launching of the Thai Food Festival 2022 at Banyan Tree in Puebla. The event was aimed at promoting the public aware of the Thai Food Festival 2022 to be held at Banyan Tree Hotels in 4 important cities in Mexico, that is, in Puebla on 18 August 2022, in Merida on 20 August 2022, in Riviera Maya (Cancun) on 27 August 2022, and in Acapulco on 3 September 2022.

The Ambassador delivered an opening remarks together with the hotel executives. The event was attended by more than 100 people including VIP guests, hotel guests, journalists and social media influencers

On this occasion, the Ambassador’s chefs were invited to showcase fruit and vegetable carving to the guests participating in the event. The Royal Thai Embassy provided rolls up and videos about Thailand's tourist attractions and culture.

Participants were delighted to experience authentic Thai food prepared by Thai and Mexican chefs from the hotel's Saffron Restaurants from Acapulco, Mayakoba, Puebla as well as the renowned Chef Renu from the Banyan Tree Hotel in Bangkok.
