On 16 October 2022, H.E. Mr. Nathapol Khantahiran, Ambassador of Thailand to the State of Qatar, welcomed representatives of Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, led by Ms. Sandie Johannessen, Health and Wellness Director, at the embassy to discuss about health and wellness services provided by Zulal Wellness Resort in Qatar. The Ambassador was briefed about the highlights of traditional Thai and Arabic medicine along the Silk Road, as well as holistic health and wellbeing philosophy, which are the cornerstone of Zulal Wellness. Officially opened on 29 March 2022, Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som is a joint venture between Qatar's Msheireb Properties and Chiva-Som, an internationally acclaimed wellness resort in Thailand. The resort is the first of its kind that blends traditional Arabic & Islamic medicine (TAIM) with oriental and traditional Thai medicine. The launch of Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som emphasizes the strength of Thailand as the world's renown provider of medical and wellness tourism and its outstanding holistic health and wellness industry.
