On 30 November 2022, Upon taking her tenure of office as Ambassador of Thailand to Senegal, Mrs. Thippawan Supamitkitja paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Osamu Izawa, Ambassador of Japan to Senegal. Both sides exchanged views on challenges and limitations of forging cooperation with Senegal, as well as Senegal’s economic potential and business opportunities, particularly minerals and energy sectors.
In addition, the two Ambassadors reiterated their commitment on enhancing trilateral cooperation between Thailand-Japan-Senegal, promoting the collaboration between Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and resuming developments projects that had been suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic in Senegal.
