On 18 December 2024, H.E. Mr. Sathana Kashemsanta Na Ayudhya, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Hellenic Republic, presented the significant book entitled “6th Cycle Year of the Dragon,” a biography of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of the Kingdom of Thailand, and an encyclopedia of Thai cuisine “The Principle of Thai Cookery” to Dr. Chrysa Nikolaou, Director General of the National Library of Greece at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre. This gesture of goodwill was aimed at promoting the friendship and cordial relations between Thailand and the Hellenic Republic, as well as raising the awareness of Thailand among Greek people.

Also, on 11 December 2024, the Ambassador entrusted Mr. Zoran Đukanović, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Serbia, with presenting the two books, “6th Cycle Year of the Dragon” and “The Principle of Thai Cookery,” to Mr. Vladimir Pištalo, Director of the National Library of Serbia, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government in order to enhance the relationship between the two countries and peoples.

The book “6^th Cycle Year of the Dragon” was published on the Celebrations on Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6^th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28 July 2024. It is His Majesty the King’s biography, starting from His birth at Ambara Villa, Dusit Palace on Monday, 28^th July, B.E. 2495 (1952) to His presiding over the wreath-laying ceremony at the Royal Statue of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at the King Rama IX Memorial Park, Dusit District, on the Navamindra Maharaj Day 13 October 2023. This book includes His Majesty the King’s portraits and pictures of royal activities with descriptive captions both in Thai and English, and compiles beneficial information for both Thais and foreigners.
