On January 17, 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York held the special ceremonies to commemorate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn attaining the same age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (King Rama I).

Ms. Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General, presided over the Buddhist chanting and merit-making alms offering ceremonies, which were graciously conducted by the abbot and the monks from Buddha Thai Thavorn Vanaram Temple, and attended by officials and staff from the Consulate-General and other Team Thailand agencies in New York.
