On 13 February 2025, H.E. Dr. Lalivan Karnchanachari, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended and delivered remarks at the Nordic Day Reception, a joint celebration of the National Days of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, as guest of honour. The Vice Minister presented a golden shower tree, national tree of Thailand, as a congratulatory token and a symbol of the strong friendship and cooperation between Thailand and the Nordic countries, especially in advancing sustainability.

In her remarks, the Vice Minister emphasized the close ties between Thailand and the Nordic countries, evident in the strong people-to-people connections, with over 120,000 Thai nationals residing in the Nordic region. The remarks also highlighted the continuous growth of economic relations and the dynamic cooperation across various sectors at both bilateral and multilateral levels, particularly in the green transition, innovation, and the promotion of equality and human rights.
