On 1 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Thailand - U.S. Educational Foundation (TUSEF), chaired and delivered opening remarks at “Fulbright Dialogues: Reimagining Ourselves in the Age of AI,” co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, and TUSEF to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Fulbright Program in Thailand.

The Advisor highlighted the Fulbright Program’s 75-year legacy in fostering mutual understanding and people-to-people ties between Thailand and the U.S., contributing to development efforts for the benefit of the peoples in both countries, while charting towards expanding its network to increase access to internationalized education as well as rethinking Fulbrighters’ meaningful contribution to society. This event served as a step forward, aimed at sharing and exchanging latest developments on real-life applications of AI to raise awareness in society.

The dialogue featured a lineup of all Fulbright alumni speakers starting with a keynote speech by Dr. Non Arkaraprasertkul, a senior expert in smart city promotion at Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), who spoke on the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in the development of smart cities guided by the 4 P’s principle (Purpose, Practical, Proof, People). A panel discussion joined by Dr. Sakol Suethanapornkul, a Data and Impact Manager at Teach for Thailand; Dr. Paphonwit Chaiwatanodom, CEO of Agnos Health; and Associate Professor Dr. Kallaya Tantiyaswasdikul, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University, shared perspectives on the role of AI in education, healthcare, and cybersecurity as well as the resulting challenges and impact.

TUSEF was established under an agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the U.S. Department of State on 1 July 1950 with an objective to promote mutual knowledge and understanding between Thailand and the U.S. through academic exchanges and the development of cultural understanding.
