On 24 August 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired Team Thailand meeting in Stockholm at the Ambassador’s Residence during his official visit to Sweden from 24 - 26 August 2025.

On this occasion, the Minister exchanged views and provided policy guidance to Thai officials from the Royal Thai Embassy and representatives of Thai agencies in Sweden, including the Defence and Air Attaché, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the Thailand Board of Investment. The Minister emphasised the government’s ambition and policy to pursue proactive economic diplomacy and deepen engagement in a concrete manner, through expanding cooperation on green transition and clean energy, defense industry and innovation, through the Thailand and Nordic Countries Innovation Unit (TNIU) as well as enhancing the well-being and active role of over 60,000 Thai nationals residing and working in Sweden.
