Director-General of International Organizations Department exchanges views on human rights issues with Human Rights Ambassador of the Netherlands

On 16 October 2025, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, had a discussion with H.E. Mr. Wim Geerts, Human Rights Ambassador of the Netherlands, on the occasion of the latter’s visit to Thailand. Also in attendance was H.E. Mr. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Thailand.

Both sides exchanged views on shared human rights priorities of Thailand and the Netherlands, and the impact of social media and transnational crime on human rights. They also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation as members of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), particularly on the rationalization of initiatives and mechanisms to enhance the efficiency of the HRC.
