On 20 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and spouse, together with the delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan.

Both sides were pleased to withness the close and strong relations between Thailand and Bhutan at all levels, particularly the ties between the Royal Families of the two Kingdoms, and the overall progress of bilateral cooperation, including in the areas of politics, trade and investment, as well as development cooperation, especially the One Gewog One Product (OGOP) project which Thailand plays a key role in the establishment of the project.

In addition, both sides discussed investment opportunities in Bhutan’s Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) project, and ways to further strengthen people-to-people ties through tourism.
 
On this occasion, the Foreign Minister congratulated Ms. Chimi Dema, a Bhutanese recipient of the 6th Princess Maha Chakri Award in 2025 in recognition of her role as a teacher who has made a positive impact on students’ lives.
