Director-General of International Organizations Department meets Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Thailand (residence in Kuala Lumpur)

On 24 April 2025, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, had a discussion with His Excellency Mr. Ardasher Qodiri, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Thailand (residence in Kuala Lumpur) on the occasion of his visit to Thailand during 21 - 25 April 2025 to attend the 81st Session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) at the United Nations Conference Centre Bangkok.

Both sides welcomed the development in relations between Thailand and Tajikistan, and exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation within the United Nations framework. The Thai side commended Tajikistan’s upcoming hosting of the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation in May 2025 in Dushanbe and leadership in promoting cooperation in water resource management, as well as advancing the Sustainable Development Goal 6 on Clean Water and Sanitation.
