On 26 of July 2024, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs had a discussion with H.E. Ms. Alenka Suhadolnik, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Thailand with residence in Beijing, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides exchanged views on the promotion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, trade and investment, gender equality, climate change, regional and global political developments. Thailand has requested for Slovenian supports for the on-going negotiations for FTA between Thailand and the European Union as well as the negotiations for Schengen visa waiver for Thai ordinary passports.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed appreciation for Thailand’s participation in the Bled Strategic Forum (BSF) in 2023 and is looking forward to the Thai participation at BSF this year between 2 – 3 September 2024.
