On 7 and 11 March 2025, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Denmark, paid courtesy calls on the high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark on the occasion of her assumption of duty, namely, Mr. Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen, Permanent Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Lina Gandløse Hansen, State Secretary for Trade and Investments, and Mr. Thomas Lund-Sørensen, Director of the Department for Asia, Oceania, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Issues discussed included ways to further strengthen the long-standing relations between Thailand and Denmark, the state of global affairs, the 7th Political Consultation which will be hosted by the Danish side in Copenhagen on 10 April 2025, the promotion of bilateral cooperations, exchange of high-level visits, and cooperation within the framework of ASEAN, EU and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) of which Denmark expressed its readiness to support Thailand's accession to the OECD as well as early conclusion of negotiations on the free trade agreement (FTA) between Thailand and the EU.
