On 14 May 2023, H.E. Mr. Kairat Sarybay, Secretary General of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, on the occasion of his visit to Thailand to attend the 79th Commission Session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).

During the meeting, both sides exchanged and shared views on the latest developments of CICA and other issues of mutual interest including the active role of Thailand as CICA coordinator in sustainable development and co-coordinator in SMEs development, the transformation of CICA into an international organization, plan and activities of CICA in 2023, as well as its cooperation with ASEAN.

For this year, the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) in collaboration with the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) will organise an online training course, titled “BCG Immunization for Tourism Industry: Features, Insights and Perspective for the New Era in CICA Countries”, for CICA member states in June.
