On 28 April 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ms. Maria Theresa P. Lazaro, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, on the sidelines of the 25th ASEAN - EU Ministerial Meeting in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.

Both sides exchanged views on regional issues such as the situation in the Middle East and efforts to strengthen energy security within ASEAN as well as developments in the situation in Myanmar following the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Myanmar, and the Thailand - Cambodia situation.
