On 3 November 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Thailand’s capacity as the ASEAN Coordinator on Sustainable Development Cooperation, welcomed 32 youth representatives from ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste, and Japan who attended the “ASEAN SDGs Youth Camp: Empowering Agents of Change for SDGs” which was arranged on 30 October - 3 November 2023 in Bangkok. Ms. Usana Berananda, Director-General of ASEAN-Thailand, delivered closing remarks for the event, emphasising the role of youths as agents of change for equitable and sustainable world.
The ASEAN SDGs Youth Camp was co-organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD), and Mahidol University to promote the role of youth as Agents of Change through 1-week programme with workshops, group works, and site visits aimed at incubating youth ideas on SDGs best practices including at the Terra Cycle, Bang Krachao, and the Forestias Project.
