On 25 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, attended the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum in Ha Noi, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. On this occasion, the Minister delivered remarks on “Megatrends: Envisioning ASEAN and the World in 2035” where he shared his views on how the ASEAN Community can be further strengthened amidst major global transformations, such as ageing societies, digitalization, transnational threats and geopolitical tensions. The Minister also presented “three clusters of strategies” comprising internal, regional and global dimensions in responding to global mega trends in order for ASEAN to remain united, inclusive and resilient.
