On 23-25 June 2019 the Royal Thai Embassy organized an event to promote Thai food and Thai food products in Kazakhstan. The aims of the event were to encourage the broader perception of Thai food among Kazakhstanis and enhance the opportunity to import Thai food products, ingredients and Thai fruits to Kazakhstan as well as to strengthen cooperation with Kazakh entrepreneurs and importers.

        The Embassy invited Mr. Sahas Juntakarnond, or Chef Dolf, a famous Thai chef, to demonstrate the cooking of simple Thai dishes at Esentai Department Store and Galmart Supermarket in Almaty. Participants of the demonstration were also able to taste Thai dried fruit products and buy Thai food pastes and seasonings to cook by themselves at home. This event helps Kazakhstani importers to evaluate the needs of the consumers and plan their imports of Thai food products beforehand. The event also drew the attention of well-known Kazakh internet bloggers that published photos of the events in their social media websites.
