On 25 June 2019, two Thai restaurants in Kuwait, namely, the Oriental Cuisine and Satay Thai Cuisine were awarded the “Thai Select” certificate by the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand at a ceremony presented by H.E. Mr. Dusit Manapan, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait and Mr. Panot Punyahotra, Director of Thai Trade Center in Dubai.

This ceremony was part of the Embassy’s “Thai Kitchen to the World” project aiming to promote Thai restaurants in Kuwait and elevate the standard of Thai restaurants in Kuwait.

“Thai Select certificate” is given to Thai restaurants that met the criteria of Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, based on authenticity, taste, selection of ingredients, cleanliness and Thai ambience of the restaurants.
