On 8 May 2019, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Poland hosted a dinner in honour of the Polish – Thai Parliamentarian Group led by H.E. Mr. Waldemar Kraska, President of the Group. The Group represents a cross-party parliamentary group with positive attitude and understanding towards Thailand. The dinner was attended by Senator Waldemar Kraska from the Law and Justice Party who is the Chairman and other distinguished members including Senator Leszek Czarnobaj from the Civic Platform Party, Senator Marek Martynowski from the Law and Justice Party, Senator Piotr Zientarski from the Civic Platform Party, Senator Grazyna Sztark from the Civic Platform Party and Senator Malgorzata Kopiczko from the Solidarity Trade Union. The Polish-Thai Senate Parliamentarian Group have a good relations with the Thailand - Poland Parliamentarians Friendship Group of which Khunying Songsuda Yodmani is the President. In recent years both sides exchanged visits between the two countries and promoted good relations between Poland and Thailand.

During the dinner, the members of the Group have cordially exchanged views with the Ambassador and Mr. Pisai Piriyastit, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) on significant developments of both countries and discussed ways to foster cooperation between the two countries in terms of trade, investment, science, education, and tourism. It was agreed that enhancing people-to-people exchanges is instrumental in strengthening ties in other dimensions and should therefore be further promoted.
