During 27 February – 1 March 2019, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Poland visited Kyiv for the first time since her presentation of the Letter of Credence to H.E. Mr. Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine on 21 September 2018 for accreditation as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Ukraine with residence in Warsaw. During this visit, the Ambassador met with key representatives from both public and private sectors of Ukraine as follows: (1) Senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine including Ms. Zhanna Leschynska, Acting Director General for the Asia Pacific Region and H.E. Mr. Sergiy Korsunsky, Director of Hennadaii Udovenko Dioplomatic Academy of Ukraine; (2) Private sector representatives including Mr. Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Valeriy Korol, Vice-President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Mr. Pavlo Ryabikin, General Director of Airport Borispol Kyiv, Mr. Anton Taranenko, Director of Tourism Promotion Department of Kyiv City Administration, Mr. Ihor Korolenko, Director of Zagorye Tour Operator and Ms. Svitlana Shchedrykoya, Head of Food Division Department of Import Contact of Fozzy Group – the biggest grocery and retail network in Ukraine; and (3) Honorary Consul –   Mr. Mykhajlo Radoutskyy. (4) The visit to Gourmet Supermarket of Fozzy Group with Ms. Natalia Tkachiuk, Import Manager, which sell many Thai products ranging from fresh mangoes, fresh coconut, fresh papaya and canned fruit, canned tuna as well as selected Thai ingredients.
           The visit to Ukraine paves way for the strengthening of friendly relations between Thailand and Ukraine through cooperation with both public and private sectors in Ukraine in various dimensions and serves to prepare for the 2nd Political Consultations which will be held soon.
