H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a message of condolence to H.E. Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a message of condolence to H.E. Mr. Tilak Marapana, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, on the bombings in Sri Lanka on 21 April 2019 that resulted in multiple casualties and injuries:

Excellency 
 
It is with deep shock and sorrow that I have learnt of the terrible explosions that occurred in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on 21 April 2019. On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I extend to Your Excellency and the people of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy for this dreadful event. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families of the victims during this difficult time and I wish a speedy recovery for those injured.
 
In this moment of bereavement, the Royal Thai Government stands in solidarity with the Government of Sri Lanka and her people and joins the international community in strongly condemning this hideous act of violence against innocent people.

Excellency,
 
I am suddenly shocked and saddened to learn of the series of horrific explosions that occurred in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on 21 April 2019. In this moment of mourning, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency and to the bereaved families of those innocent people who lost their lives as well as those who were injured in this dreadful event.
 
Thailand joins the international community in strongly condemning this despicable act of violence and stands in solidarity with the Government of Sri Lanka and her people during this very difficult time.
 
Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
