The Royal Thai Embassy in cooperation with the Thai Club in Kuwait, hosted Songkran Festival 2019 at Green Island on 12 April 2019

The event was attended by more than 500 Thais, Kuwaitis and foreigners in Kuwait, including ambassadors of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea and chargé d’affaires and diplomatic staffs from several countries. The guests joyfully participated in many activities and shows in a warm and friendly atmosphere which included Thai traditional music and dances, water blessing, water splashing, rum-wong, lucky draws. The Embassy organized Songkran Festival yearly to inherit Thai tradition and promote the Thai culture in Kuwait. This event has served well to enhance the good image of Thailand as well as solidarity of the Thai community in Kuwait.
