      The Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), will co-organise a Seminar on “OECD Economic Outlook for Southeast Asia, China and India 2019: Towards Smart Urban Transportation” on 3 April 2019, at 13.30-15.30 Hrs., at Narathip Auditorium, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. 
 
      Mr. Kensuke Tanaka, Head of Asia Desk, OECD Development Centre, will present the OECD Economic Outlook for Southeast Asia, China and India 2019. The said Outlook comprises 1) macroeconomic assessment and economic outlook of ASEAN Member States, China and India; 2) progress of the regional integration; and 3) a special thematic chapter focusing on policy challenges for Emerging Asian Countries in improving urban transportation. The Outlook also includes study on Thailand’s efforts in human capital development to support Eastern Economic Corridor’s (EEC) projects. Representatives from Thai agencies responsible for macroeconomic and transportation policy will participate in the panel discussion to provide comments and feedback regarding the Outlook.
