On 29^th October B.E. 2561 (2018) at 10.30 am. Mr. Miguel Angel Elias Avalos, Congressman (of Popular Force party, representative from the region of Ica) and President of the Peru-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship League of the Congress of the Republic of Peru paid a courtesy call on H.E. Kesanee Palanuwongse, Ambassador of Thailand, at the Embassy where both discussed ways to deepen bilateral relations under the framework of the Thailand-Peru Parliamentarians Friendship Group. Mr. Miguel proposed to organize Thailand’s exhibition at the Parliament House for a period of 1 week starting on 15^th December B.E. 2561 (2018). At the same time the Ambassador of Thailand discusses the possibility of having Thai Boxing promotional activity during the time that Lima will host the 2019 Pan American Games as well as seek the guidance of the Peru-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship League on selection of potential candidates to join the Embassy’s project to visit Thailand, with an aim to promote trade between the two countries, which would also coincides with the THAIFEX – World of Food Asia 2019 event scheduled during last week of May 2019. The Ambassador of Thailand also used the opportunity to provide information about Thailand’s political development, which the general election is now expected to be in the beginning of 2019.
