Ambassador of Thailand lead the Polish Delegation to THAIFEX – World of food Asia 2018

              During 28-31 May 2018, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, led the Polish delegation to visit Thailand. The delegation which comprises Mrs. Magdalena Jozefecka, Director of International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Katarzyna Kwiecien, Director of Department of Export Support, National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR),  Dr. Agnieszka Wierzbicka, Associate Professor, Department of Food Design and Technology, Faculty of Human Nutrition and Consumer Sciences, Warsaw University of Life Science (SGGW) and Mrs. Anita Błaszczak Journalist, Rzeczpospolita Newspaper were invited to visit THAIFEX – World of Food Asia 2018 which was held between 29 May – 2 June 2018 at Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani. They also participated as guest speakers in the seminar on Building Knowledge of International Trade for Thai Foods which was organized as a part of THAIFEX trade fair by the New Economy Academy (NEA), Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce. Apart from THAIFEX, Ambassador Sahussarungsi brought them to visit and receive a briefing at Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office where they learnt more about Thailand’s flagship project of special economic zone in the Eastern Provinces of Thailand and paid a site visit to Food Innopolis which was regarded as a comprehensive R&D solution provider for food innovation at Thailand Science Park in Pathum Thani Province. The Polish delegates showed lots of attention and commended on Thailand’s potential as an important world’s food production base including progress and development plan Thailand pursued to promote competitiveness and quality of food industry. Since both Thailand and Poland share in common strong capacity and potentials in agricultural and food sectors, as well as goals and policies which accommodate and complement to each other, opportunities in our bilateral trade and investment are still plenty and full of prospect, as well as the sharing and exchanges of knowledge and technology in the sectors of mutual interest.
