On 25 September 2017, Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Director of the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs, hosted the opening ceremony of the international training programme on “Knowledge of Diplomacy: Sustainable Development and the Sufficiency Economy” which will be organized during 

25 September – 10 October 2017 for foreign diplomats from 14 countries in 3 different regions.

 

This course will provide diplomats with essential knowledge and skills ranging from international meeting skills to conducting consular diplomacy. Furthermore, classes on such topics as Thailand 4.0 and Special Economic Zones will feature sessions on Sustainable Development and the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy to encourage participants to engage and contribute to the understanding of the philosophy and social development. Participants will also visit Thailand’s leading business companies that have successfully practiced and integrated the philosophy into their business plan. 

 

This course also serves as a forum for participants to share their experiences as well as an opportunity to strengthen bonds for further cooperation.
