On 18 August 2017, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Director-General of Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited members of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand to visit various agencies and companies in Bangkok and vicinity to provide first-hand experience in sectors pertaining to food, pharmaceutical and transport infrastructure in line with the Government’s policies especially the Thailand 4.0 agenda. The programme was designed to foster cooperation and network between private/public sectors of Thailand and members of the foreign media residing in Thailand. Participants included 15 members of leading foreign media. 
 
During the day, participants visited; Food Innopolis, a one-stop service that facilitates research and development in the food sector located within the compound of Thailand Science Park; Betagro Research and Development Centre; Siam Bioscience Company Limited, a leading biopharmaceutical company; and Sanamchai MRT Station which is part of the MRT Blue Line Extension (Hua Lamphong – Bangkae).  
 
In the evening, Lieutenant General Weerachon Sukhontapatipak, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister and Major General Kongcheep Tantravanich, Spokesman of the Ministry of Defense joined the dinner and discussed progress on the Reconciliation process as well as other important political developments.
