During 9 – 10 August 2017, H.E. Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, will pay an official visit to Thailand as guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation is scheduled to arrive in Thailand on 9 August 2017. On 10 August 2017, he is scheduled to sign the book of condolences in remembrance of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Grand Palace and will pay a courtesy call on H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, at the Government House, He will also have a meeting with H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs, hold a joint press conference, and attend a luncheon hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This visit, which also coincides with the commemmeration of the 120th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Russia, will significantly contribute to the strengthening of the relationship and cooperation between both countries, especially following the official visit of H.E. Mr. Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister, to Russia in May 2016.
