        On Saturday 3rd December  2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Royal Thai Consulate General in Dubai, United Arab Emirates co-hosted the Buddhist merit making ceremony to pay tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of 50-day cycle mourning which was presided  over by  H.E. Mr Komate Kamalanavin, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE and Mr Unnop Buranasate, Consul General of Thailand to Dubai.  The Buddhist ceremony was conducted by  Phra Maha Wudhi, Abbot of Meditation Center of Dubai and  was attended by Mr. Panot Punyahotra, Consul (Commercial) of Thai Trade Center  Dubai Office; Mr Chalermsak Suranant, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand Dubai & Middle East Office;  as well as diplomats and staff from Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Royal Thai Consulate General in Dubai and family, and over  120 Thais living in the United Arab Emirates.  The  Buddhist ceremony was followed by a 9-minute of meditation to pay royal blessing  to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
