On 13 November 2016, Mrs. Thippawan Supamitkitja, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra attended the Royal Krathina Robe Ceremony in Wat Sangharatanaram, Gold Coast, Queensland, Commonwealth of Australia.
This year’s royal krathina offering robe was graciously granted to Ms. Anchan Wilson, the sponsor of the krathina procession, to be presented to the Bhuddist monks at Wat Sangharatnaram.  It was the last royal krathina robe ceremony held in Australia for this year as this week was the last week for the krathina ceremony.
Also Wat Sangharatanaram was graciously granted the Royal Krathina Robe for the second year.
There were about 250 people attended this event.  They were from the Thai community in Gold Coast, Brisbane and adjacent towns as well as from Sydney and Thailand.  There were also more than 20 food stalls offered for charity to help celebrate the event.
