              On Saturday 29 October 2016, Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, accompanied by his spouse along with the Thai Embassy’s officials attended the annual Khatina ceremony and a merit-making ceremony on the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand at Buddharam Temple in Värmdö, Sweden.A lot of Thai people and their families as well as Swedish people also attended the said events. After presenting Kathina robe to the congregation of monks, H.E. Ambassador Kiattikhun led the participants in observing minutes of silence and singing the Royal Anthem to pay their respect to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. H.E. Ambassador Kiattikhun also expressed his deepest sorrow on the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and paid tribute to His Majesty’s devotion to the improvement of welfare and livelihood of the Thai people throughout 70 years of the Reign. His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been reverend not only by the Thai people but also foreigners as shown by the special session of the General Assembly to honour His Majesty King Bhumibol of Thailand held by the United Nations on 28 October 2016.
