On 30 October 2016, H.E. Mr. Maithripala Sirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, laid a wreath to honor and paid respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall inside the Grand Palace and signed a message of condolences.
