Buddhist Ceremony to Pay Tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in the Czech Republic

            His Excellency Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, presided over the Buddhist merit making ceremony, organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague on 20 October 2016 at the Embassy, to pay tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of the 7-day cycle mourning.  The ceremony was dedicated and attended by Pra Khru Sopitdhammarangsi and monks from the Thai Temple in Prague (Wat Dhammakittiwong), diplomats and staff of Team Thailand and family, and over 100 Thais living in the Czech Republic, respectively.  
           On this occasion, the Ambassador also led the Thai community to pay homage to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej before His Majesty’s Portrait followed by an observation of a nine-minute moment of silence in heartfelt respect and remembrance of our beloved King.  Thais who participated in the ceremony as well had an opportunity to sign the condolences book provided at the Embassy.
