             On 20 September 2016 at 10.30 – 12.00 hours, the Royal Thai Embassy, Colombo organised Thai cooking demonstration for 40 spouses of the heads of diplomatic corps in Sri Lanka, spouses of Sri Lankan high-ranking officials, spouses of the renowned businessmen in Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan media at the Kingsbury Hotel in order to give the basic knowledge and the secret to the Thai cooking as well as the opportunity to taste authentic Thai food from  Thai Chefs. The Thai Chefs presented 3 recipes from the well-known Thai dishes namely Tom Yum Gung (hot and sour prawn soup), Thai fried fish cake and green chicken curry.  
             On the same day at 14.00 – 16.30 hours, the Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mumbai Office  and Fairtex Gym organised the workshop on Muay Thai (Thai boxing) at the Kingsbury Hotel. There were 40 participants from Sri Lankan Army, Navy, Air Force, and Muay Thai Centre Colombo joined the Muay Thai workshop.
