On 19 September 2016, Dr. Kriangsak Kittichaiseree, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation, had a discussion with Mr. Nikas Safronov, a well-known Russian artist who expressed interest in participating in the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Thai – Russian diplomatic relations in 2017. In this regard, the Ministry of Culture of Thailand has been approached by the Russian side to exhibit paintings of Thai scenery by Russian artists.
One of participants in this discussion was Dr. Nikolay Drozdov, Chairman of International Union of Ecologists, Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (IUEIE), who has proposed several activities to celebrate the 120th anniversary; namely, the display of the biggest flags of Thailand and Russia (1,000 square meters), the Forum of the Friendship of Worldwide Nations, the 3rd international expedition to the Arctic “The Celestrial Pole of the World and Friendship” which will include wrapping the biggest flags of Thailand and Russia around the international drifting ice station “BARNEO”.
Mr. Safronov has earned his fame from the Dream Vision technique that is based on classical painting and the active use of imagination, subconscious and unconscious expressions. His professionalism and quality of creative work contribute significantly to the world arts, as confirmed by many awards, which has led him to meet world-renowned personalities, such as President George W. Bush, President Vladimir Putin, President Mikhail Gorgachev, Madonna, and Sean Connery, among others.
