The Muaythai Roadshow in Kuwait was held at Kuwait Taekwondo Hall, the Sheik Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah stadium during 22 - 24 August 2016, co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait, Thailand Foundation and Kuwait Muaythai Committee (K.M.C.), who invited Mr. Sane Tubtimtong, Grand Master and founder of Siamyout Thai Martial Arts and Culture Academy and Mr. Wittawat Ka-Som (Kru Din), Master and founder of Lanna Fighting Muaythai Training Camp, with their Muaythai athletes, to participate in the Roadshow.  The Roadshow aimed at promoting “Thainess” through Muaythai, as well as to make the authenticity of Muaythai techniques and styles known amongst residents in Kuwait for the first time.
The 3-day event featured a series of activities. Firstly, on 22 August 2016, a Muaythai demonstration, which was attended by over 250 participants which included a representative from the Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS), a representative of the Governor of Farwaniyah province, Ambassadors of ASEAN member countries, Republic of Korea, Lebanon, Poland, and Slovakia to Kuwait.  Secondly, Muaythai workshops were scheduled during 23 - 24 August 2016 and joined by more than 200 people.  The number of participants was very impressive, given that the Roadshow was held during the peak of summer with 50 degree Celsius that normally keeps the Kuwaiti people away from going out of their residence.
At the inauguration of the workshop, Miss Pattarawan Nanakorn, Chargé d'Affaires a.i., delivered her opening remarks mentioning that Muaythai was not only a traditional sport, but also a type of culture and pride of Thai people.
