On 3 September 2016, Consul-General Dusit Manapan hosted a farewell lunch for 5 Young Ambassadors of Virtue and a teacher who visited Kansai region of Japan during 26 August – 4 September 2016 under “Young Ambassadors of Virtue’s Visit to Kansai” Project, co-organised by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka and Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, with generous support of Thai AirAsia X.
In this connection, the Young Ambassadors of Virtue expressed their gratitude to the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka for offering them an invaluable opportunity to broaden their perspectives and participate in cultural exchange activities. During their visit to Kansai, the Young Ambassadors of Virtue visited Japanese schools as well as historical and important places in Kansai. They took part in various cultural exchange activities and stayed with Japanese families in Kyotango, Kyoto prefecture, for two nights.
The Project has achieved its main objectives of promoting good understanding and enhancing the existing close ties of friendship between Thailand and Japan, especially at youth level.
