On 30 August 2016, Ms. Bacharee Puengpak, Minister – Counsellor, the Royal Thai Embassy congratulated the winners of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2016, Ms. Sureeporn Triphetprapa, Ms. Thidarat Phianchat, and Ms. Kanjana Komkla, a team of Thai students from Suratpittaya School, who received the prize from H.R.H Prince Carl Philip of Sweden. These students from Thailand won for their project on the natural innovative water retention mimicry of the Bromeliaceae. The Stockholm Junior Water Prize is an international award given to young innovators who created outstanding projects which related to water and sustainability issues with great benefits to the public. Stockholm Junior Water Prize has been consecutively organized for 20 years. This year, the finalists from 29 countries participated in the said competition.
