            On 27 August 2016, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver joined the other 4 ASEAN Consulates-General, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam in hosting the second ASEAN Festival in Vancouver at Roundhouse Community Centre. Ms. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand, delivered an opening speech on behalf of the ASEAN Consuls-General Committee in Vancouver (ACGV) followed by the congratulatory speeches by Mr. Marc Dalton, MLA from Maple Ridge-Mission, who represented the Government of British Columbia, and Mr. Raymond Louie, Acting Mayor of Vancouver, who represented the City of Vancouver. Other honour guests who attended the 2nd ASEAN Festival in Vancouver included Mr. Richard Lee, MLA from Burnaby North and Mr. Adam Palmer, Chief Constable, Vancouver Police Department, representatives of foreign consulates-general in Vancouver, medias, Canadians and foreign residents in Vancouver and nearby cities.
            Activities at this event included the video presentation on the ASEAN Community, performances of traditional dances and music, fashion show of national costumes, video presentation of 5 ASEAN member countries in Vancouver, cultural exhibitions, as well as food and imported products booths. All activities were highly appreciated by more than 1,500 Canadians and foreign residents who participated in this event.
